How FindExpo checks trade shows

Updated 24 October 2026 · 4 min read

FindExpo is a free search engine for trade shows, exhibitions and wholesale markets, with a planner that turns several shows into one trip. As of 24 October 2026 it lists 8,899 upcoming trade shows and 2,409 permanent wholesale markets and production clusters in 77 countries. Every trade show on the site comes from a trade-fair directory or was confirmed on the open web; unconfirmed events are not shown.

Where the listings come from

Most trade shows are collected from established trade-fair directories and venue calendars: EventsEye, TradeFairDates, Haozhanhui (Chinese exhibitions), 10times and the published calendars of convention centres. The directories are crawled every week, so dates moved by an organiser reach the site within days.

Unchecked trade shows on the site: none. All 9,099 trade shows either come from a directory or were confirmed.

How AI-found events are checked

Some events are first found by AI research — for example, regional editions that the directories miss. None of them is published on trust. Each one is looked up on the open web: the organiser's site, the venue calendar or a past edition must confirm the name, the city and the dates. Of 3,098 AI-found listings checked so far, 749 (24%) could not be confirmed and are hidden, 469 turned out to be academic conferences rather than trade shows and were removed, and 80 had already taken place. Only the confirmed ones stay on the site.

How fresh the data is

  • Every week: trade-fair directories are crawled again, listings are updated and official websites are checked for broken links.
  • Every night: duplicates are merged (one show listed by several directories) and missing venues, airports and translations are filled in.
  • 9,076 of 11,508 listings (79%) were updated in the last 7 days. Past events drop out of search automatically.
  • 552 event pages carry photos and facts taken from the organiser's own site, each linked to its source.

Where coverage is strongest

The most listings are in China (1,589), United States (1,090), Germany (794), India (737), France (613), United Kingdom (434): 77 countries and 1,381 cities in total. China and Asia are covered most deeply — FindExpo started as a tool for buyers who travel to meet suppliers.

What FindExpo does not do

  • It does not sell trade show tickets or stands — event pages link to the official website.
  • It does not guarantee prices: flight costs are the latest fares found on Aviasales, hotels are a nightly estimate. Check the final price before you book.
  • Partner links (Aviasales, Trip.com and others) may earn FindExpo a commission; they never change the order of results — there is no paid placement.

Who runs FindExpo

FindExpo is built by a small team that works with importers and buyers sourcing in China and Asia. The site is free, and the same search works in the Telegram bot @expotravel_bot. Questions, corrections and missing events: Telegram @championito.
